Jennifer Burt, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Jennifer's goal is to assist the body with it's innate ability to heal itself, whether it is physical, mental or emotional healing.

While addressing areas of pain through treatment and clinical routines, she incorporates Swedish massage and deep tissue work techniques.

She is also trained in sports medicine, cranial sacral and prenatal massage.

Massage Services Offered:

Neuromuscular Therapy:

This program of recovery is targeted for acute and chronic pain syndromes by utilizing specific massage therapy techniques, including the pressure of trigger points, to bring about balance between the muscular skeletal system and the nervous system. It enhances the function of joints, muscles and releases endorphins, the body's own natural pain killers.

Cranial Sacral Massage:

This is a great massage if you feel disconnected. You rest fully-clothed on a massage table while the therapist conducts gentle assessments and corrects the sources of pain and dysfunction using gentle manipulative techniques.

Swedish Massage:

Often referred to as "traditional massage it is the most common form of western massage. Swedish massage includes long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping and shaking motions.

Sports Massage:

For the athlete, sports massage techniques are utilized at all stages: pre-event, post-event, during training and to expedite rehabilitation after injury.

Prenatal Massage:

Massage during pregnancy not only makes a woman feel pampered, but offers undeniable physical benefits as well. Massage can relieve fatigue, enhance sleep and calm an active baby.

Hot Stone Massage:

Stones are heated to approximately 120 degrees and then placed on strategic areas of the body to soften tissues, increase circulation and provide comfort and relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage:

This massage therapy focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness and sore shoulders.
